I completely agree with Newland Archer. I believe that Ellen Olenska should be able to decide herself if she wants to get a divorce or not, regardless of what her family or anyone else thinks. It's her life and she might want to see other people, so she should get a divorce if she wants to. I think it's ridiculous that people are going to try to convince her to stay married, because it's not their life, and therefore, not their decision.
